Editorial Review

A comprehensive manuscript assessment with a detailed revision roadmap — so you know exactly what your story needs and how to make it stronger.

From $245 · Manuscripts up to 120,000 words

Not a critique. A roadmap.

Most editing services return a manuscript covered in comments and leave you to figure out what it all means. The Cora Press Editorial Review is different. You receive a 10–12 page written report that evaluates your manuscript at the story level — structure, character arcs, pacing, worldbuilding, theme — and gives you a phase-by-phase revision roadmap with specific, actionable next steps. You'll know exactly what your story's strongest elements are, where the gaps are, and how to close them.

A full-manuscript evaluation.

Receive your 10–12 page report

Within approximately two weeks you receive a comprehensive written report with a full assessment of your manuscript's strengths and gaps, plus a phase-by-phase revision roadmap with prioritized, actionable guidance.

Answers before you start.

Does this include line editing?

No. The Editorial Review operates at the story level — structure, character, pacing, worldbuilding, and theme. It does not include grammar correction, sentence-level editing, or formatting. If you need sentence-level work, see Stylistic Line Editing or Developmental Editing.

What genres do you work with?

We work exclusively with science fiction and fantasy authors writing family-friendly speculative fiction. We do not accept horror, explicit sexual content, or graphic violence.

How is the feedback delivered?

As a written report — not as tracked changes or inline comments. This gives you a clear, readable assessment you can reference throughout your revision process rather than a document full of marginalia.

Not sure whether your story needs revision, repositioning, or a different path entirely?

Start with a diagnostic. Most authors discover the answer changes everything.
